Beijing Anti-Doping laboratory (Beijing lab) was founded in 1987. As per the impartiality and independency requirements from WADA's International Standards for laboratories, Beijing lab is now a secondary legal entity of Beijing Sport University. It is one of the 30 World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratories in the world and the only one in China. Beijing lab carries out the analysis of about 20,000 athletes' samples per year for National Anti-Doping Organizations and International Sports Federations.
Beijing lab has successfully completed the analysis mission of Major Competition such as China National Games, 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics, and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics with competence. It also continuously carries out research projects in doping analysis area. The Lab Director and one of the Certifying Scientist are currently playing a role in WADA's laboratory expert group/working group.
